The Bands of Ashland

This ladies and gentlemen is the "Jimmy Jones Five!" Now you may not recognize the name of this "band" but I guarantee that those of you who grew up in Ashland during the "British Invasion" will certainly know a few of these names. This concert was performed to a standing room only crowd in the basement of the Federated Church in the spring of 1964. Pantomiming to the big hits of the day such as "I Want To Hold Your Hand, She Loves You" and of course that unforgettable hit "Glad All Over." are the future rock and roll stars of the future! On the left playing guitar is Ray Hart! Playing the saxophone is John De Salvo rocking out to the hit "Strangers On The Shore." The guitarist out in front is none other than me, Frank Jones. Jimmy Lefter is on the drums and playing lead guitar on the right is Earl McGlaulin! Don't you wish that you were there!
